Jiangling Motors Group has officially launched its first four-wheel drive off-road RV, the Jianglv Expedition Leopard. Built on the Ford Transit T8 chassis, this versatile B-class RV inherits the classic design of the Haitanu V363 Pro. With upgraded four-wheel drive systems and off-road modifications, it becomes a "mobile living space" that balances urban commuting with outdoor adventures. Interested parties can visit the Chengdu RV Show hosted by RV Cat Mall (Chengdu Trading Center) from September 19-21, 2025, to experience this RV up close.
The RV measures 5998mm (length) x 2164mm (width) x 2996mm (height). Six laser lights are arranged in parallel on the roof, and a 1105mm x 548mm curved sunroof above the windshield opens to provide both ventilation and natural light. The Expedition Leopard's exterior features contrasting yellow, black, and silver design. Simple lines create a rugged silhouette, complemented by the exclusive Ford Raptor front fascia, instantly elevating the vehicle's off-road credentials. Armored paint and a variety of 4x4 outdoor decals highlight its crossover credentials.
The rear features an expandable luggage rack, a metal ladder, and storage for bicycles and fuel drums. A right-side awning and a left-side escape plate further enhance its practicality and rugged aesthetic. The
roof rack offers a standing platform for viewing, integrated with a ventilation fan, air conditioning unit, and sunroof. The rear luggage rack supports multiple devices, perfect for long-distance travel.
The cabin is based on the Ford Transit T8 long-wheelbase, high-top, all-wheel-drive chassis, powered by a 2.3T PUMA high-pressure common-rail diesel engine and a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. It boasts a maximum power of 128 kW and a peak torque of 430 Nm. The intelligent all-wheel-drive system allows for effortless handling on unpaved roads. The driver's seat is manually adjustable in six directions and reclines 180°, while the passenger seat is adjustable and equipped with a center armrest and lumbar support. Both the driver and front passenger seats swivel 360° and feature wraparound privacy curtains, creating a highly private seating position opposite the passenger area. The ergonomic leather seats offer excellent support and comfort.
The interior features a classic 2+2 configuration, with the second-row passenger area boasting a generous 2-meter width and 1.95-meter interior height, a centrally located kitchen and bathroom, and a double bed positioned transversely at the rear. The lack of a main light minimizes glare, while the walls and door panels utilize ABS thermoformed molded parts for a tight fit and reduced noise. The vehicle is treated with foam and soundproofing for exceptional quietness. Lockable storage compartments keep items secure while driving, and the side windows and sunroof are equipped with mosquito nets and privacy curtains, adding to the thoughtful details.
The second-row passenger seats in the passenger area feature ventilation, massage, heating, and leg rests. Measuring 930×500mm, they provide a comfortable seating area for two, while a single occupant can also enjoy the "boss seat" experience. The rear bed measures 2000 x 1300 mm, featuring a protruding blind window that widens the interior space. The lower section folds down to create an aisle and storage area, complemented by wall cabinets and hanging wardrobes for ample storage capacity.
The central kitchen features a sink with a cutting board, an induction cooktop, a microwave, a 148L double-door refrigerator, and a 3kg washer-dryer. The extended tabletop, concealed in the side wall, doubles the workspace when deployed. Pull-out storage cabinets provide organized storage, perfect for long-distance cooking.
The bathroom features a pull-out structure, allowing the aisle to be expanded to 510 mm for showering, eliminating any cramped feeling. The interior is equipped with a ventilation fan, a pull-out toilet, a vanity mirror, a shower with anti-skid plates, and a faucet. It also features dual 206L fresh water tanks (100L indoor and 106L in the chassis) and a 100L waste water tank. The constant-temperature hot water system supports all-season operation.
The electrical system utilizes a 48V 10kWh energy storage solution, and the 7-inch touchscreen above the center door integrates integrated water and electricity controls. Four charging modes (4kW on-the-road charging for 2.5-4 hours, 2kW mains slow charging for 5 hours, 2.7kW AC fast charging for 4 hours, and 5.4kW DC fast charging for 2 hours) provide flexible adaptation to different scenarios. A 10.4kW dual heater and 30mm insulated floor provide a full-vehicle floor heating system for rapid and even heating.
The Jiangling Yuanzheng Leopard, based on the Ford Transit T8 chassis, integrates a four-wheel drive system, a rugged exterior, and a user-friendly interior to create an off-road RV capable of conquering mountains, rivers, lakes, and seas while providing the comforts of home. With an official suggested price of 688,000 yuan, combined with its power performance, spacious layout, and intelligent features, it undoubtedly injects a strong new force into the four-wheel drive RV market.
