You may have seen the romantic plot of "Up" and heard stories of RVers traveling the world, but have you ever wondered what the homes of the future will look like?

Ten Fold Engineering, a British company, has designed a fully automated folding house that makes building a home in just ten minutes a reality.
The house's most significant feature is its convenience and foldability. No equipment or foundation is required; simply press a button and it automatically unfolds. A specialized lever system within the folding house allows the various structural components to move simultaneously with the overall unfolding of the house, creating a multi-layered structure that, when fully unfolded, covers approximately 60 square meters. When the house is "packed up," the internal components are sealed, and your furniture and belongings are stored within.

When you need to move, simply fold it up, haul it away, and you can move it anywhere you want. While it's not as fantastical as "Up," it's at least as adaptable as an RV. Unlike an RV, it's truly a home, giving you a more "homey" feel.

Use a truck to transport it to your desired location.

With a simple push, it begins to transform.

In just 10 minutes, a luxurious villa rises from the ground!

Not only the exterior walls, but also every feature in the room folds.

It comes with all the furniture you need, and the interior is luxurious and elegant.

It's perfectly adequate for a family of three.

"This ready-to-move-in home is designed to provide flexibility for the homeowner," says British architect David Martyn, who founded Ten Fold Engineering seven years ago.

In the 21st century, things are constantly changing, and nothing beats the fast-paced pace of modern life. "Flexibility" has become a top priority when purchasing something.

But is there something spacious and practical enough to work in, yet still carry everything you need? "We're trying to develop a house that can be transported by traditional systems like trucks, yet it automatically unfolds and deploys in minutes, without the need for cranes or workers, so your time isn't wasted," Martin said.
Although these buildings are primarily designed as residences, they can also be used as offices, shops, restaurants, or exhibition halls.
The rooms can be freely transformed to create different uses depending on your needs.
It can be two large suites.
With more people, it can become four smaller rooms.
Add a living room.
It can instantly become a conference room.
It's like a Transformer in the housing world!
If one isn't enough, add another floor.
If two aren't enough, add four.
If that's still not enough, add a hotel.
Ten Fold is highly expandable. Its modularity means that multiple units can be connected and stacked to create larger homes, even hotel-style buildings.

You can live in the mountains in the winter and move to the beach in the summer. It sounds like something only the wealthy can enjoy, but it's not.

School classrooms can be more flexible, allowing classes to be held at different times and locations. Mobile classrooms can provide learning opportunities for more people and reduce resource waste.

The folding house concept has already gained widespread popularity in the retail, housing, sports, mining, and energy industries. Portable housing technology complements and supports traditional infrastructure, and these structures are portable real estate.

Of course, this isn't to say everyone should own one, as not everyone needs one. It's simply a tool that can help us do more.

Give you a home in ten minutes! This mobile architectural design concept will be applied to future homes. It's exciting to think about it!
