Jiangling Group officially launched its first four-wheel drive off-road RV – the Jiangling Expedition Leopard. This versatile B-class RV, built on the Ford Transit T8 chassis, inherits the classic design of the Great Wall Sea Bull V363 Pro. Through upgrades to the four-wheel drive system and off-road modifications, it becomes a "mobile living space" that balances urban commuting and wilderness adventure. Those interested in this RV can visit the RVCat Mall (Chengdu Trading Center) from September 19th to 21st, 2025, to participate in the Chengdu RV Exhibition and experience this RV up close.
The vehicle's dimensions are 5998mm (length) × 2164mm (width) × 2996mm (height). It features six laser lights arranged side-by-side on the roof, and a 1105×548mm curved sunroof above the windshield that can be opened from inside the vehicle, balancing ventilation and lighting. The Expedition Leopard's exterior features a striking yellow, black, and silver color scheme, with simple lines outlining a rugged silhouette. Combined with an exclusive Ford Raptor-style front fascia, it instantly exudes off-road DNA. The entire vehicle is clad in armored paint and adorned with numerous 4x4 outdoor decals, highlighting its crossover attributes. The rear features
an infinitely expandable roof rack, a metal ladder, and storage areas for bicycles/fuel drums. A right-side sunshade and left-side traction control further enhance practicality and rugged aesthetics. The roof
rack platform allows for standing and enjoys the view, integrating a ventilation fan, air conditioning unit, and sunroof. The rear rack supports multiple items, meeting the storage needs of long-distance travel.
The driver's cabin utilizes a Ford Transit T8 long-wheelbase, high-roof, four-wheel-drive chassis, powered by a 2.3T PUMA high-pressure common rail diesel engine paired with a ZF 8AT imported transmission, delivering a maximum power of 128kW and a peak torque of 430N·m. Matched with an intelligent four-wheel-drive system, it easily handles unpaved roads. The driver's seat offers 6-way manual adjustment and 180° reclining, while the passenger seat is angle-adjustable and equipped with a center armrest and lumbar support. Both driver and passenger seats can rotate 360° and feature wraparound privacy curtains, creating a highly private face-to-face seating arrangement with the lounge area. The leather seats are ergonomically designed, offering excellent support and comfort.
The interior layout is a classic 2+2 configuration, with a spacious 2-meter width and 1.95-meter interior height in the second-row lounge area. A centrally located kitchen and bathroom are included, and a double bed is placed transversely at the rear. The absence of main lights avoids glare, and the walls and door panels utilize ABS vacuum-molded components for a tight fit and reduced noise. The entire vehicle is treated with foam insulation and soundproofing, resulting in excellent quietness. Storage cabinets are equipped with latches for secure storage while driving; side windows and the sunroof are fitted with mosquito nets and privacy curtains, demonstrating thoughtful attention to detail.
The second-row seats in the lounge area offer ventilation, massage, heating, and leg rest functions. Their 930×500mm dimensions ensure comfortable seating for two people, while single occupancy provides a "boss seat" experience. The rear transverse bed measures 2000×1300mm, with a protruding blind window design that expands the interior space. Folding down below creates a passageway and storage area, complemented by wall-mounted cabinets and wardrobes, providing ample storage capacity.
The centrally located kitchen features a sink (with cutting board), induction cooker, microwave, 148L double-door refrigerator, and a 3kg washer-dryer combo. An extended countertop is concealed in the side wall, doubling the work area when unfolded; pull-out storage cabinets offer categorized storage to meet the needs of long-distance cooking.
The bathroom uses a pull-out structure, extending the horizontal width to 510mm when showering, eliminating any cramped feeling. It includes an exhaust fan, pull-out toilet, vanity mirror, shower slip plate, and faucet/shower head, along with a 206L dual fresh water tank (100L indoor + 106L chassis) and a 100L waste water tank, providing year-round hot water.
The electrical system uses a 48V 10 kWh energy storage solution, with a 7-inch touchscreen above the central door integrating water and electricity controls. Four charging modes (4kW driving charge for 2.5-4 hours to fully charge, 2kW AC slow charge for 5 hours, 2.7kW AC fast charge for 4 hours, and 5.4kW DC fast charge for 2 hours) flexibly adapt to different scenarios. A 10.4kW dual heater and a 30mm insulated floor form a full-vehicle underfloor heating system, ensuring rapid and even heating.
Based on the Ford Transit T8 chassis, the Jiangling Expedition Leopard integrates a four-wheel drive system, a rugged exterior, and a user-friendly interior to create an off-road RV capable of conquering mountains and seas while providing comfortable living. With an official guide price of 688,000 yuan, combined with its power performance, spacious layout, and intelligent features, it undoubtedly injects a strong new force into the four-wheel drive RV market.
