The all-new Landwind Shanhaipao 4WD off-road RV has officially launched. Leveraging China's only dedicated N2-class 4.5-ton RV chassis, robust 4WD escape capabilities, and a side-expansion design, it offers a truly "off-road and livable" two-person long-distance travel experience. Built on the Great Wall Shanhaipao pickup platform, this off-road RV not only surpasses the carrying capacity limits of traditional pickup trucks but also redefines the standard for high-end off-road RVs with its sleek styling, low center of gravity, and comprehensive features. The new Shanhaipao RV eschews the traditional angular design for a sleek, rounded design. Its compact dimensions of 5990×2410×3180mm ensure a balanced approach to both maneuverability and interior space. Its bodywork features a Simingzhi composite structure and is coated in scratch-resistant and explosion-proof paint, ensuring it withstands the rigors of off-road driving.
Developed on the Great Wall Shanhai Pao pickup platform, it's the only N2-class, 4.5-ton RV chassis in China specifically designed for RVs. Its optimized, widened rear track and flush fenders ensure excellent coordination. Its low center of gravity ensures driving stability, and its 2.5-ton towing capacity allows for trailering and expansion, meeting the needs of extended travel.
Powered by a Great Wall 2.4T diesel engine with a maximum power of 126kW and a peak torque of 480Nm, it's paired with a proprietary 9-speed automatic transmission, ensuring smooth and efficient power delivery. Off-road features include a BorgWarner intelligent all-wheel drive system, a rear axle electronic differential lock, and a low-speed all-wheel drive mode with 2.64x torque amplification. Combined with the Shanhai Pao pickup's inherently formidable maneuverability, it easily navigates muddy, gravel, and other unpaved roads.
The interior features a natural wood grain design with gray accents, creating a simple and practical design. The side expansion system expands the interior width to 2600mm, and the center aisle can be used as a temporary bed, surpassing the space offered by comparable pickup trucks and RVs. The living area is clearly laid out: a double bed sits atop the cab; the center section houses a four-person reception area, with spacious booths allowing for smooth legroom for four people; and a rear-mounted toilet and wardrobe combine for clear functional divisions.
The L-shaped kitchen countertop comes standard with a large square sink (deep and splash-proof), a wall-mounted washing machine underneath, and a 136L RV-specific refrigerator on the right. The wall cabinets feature square doors and brushed aluminum edging, combining elegance and practicality. LED ambient lighting is embedded around the sliding windows of the countertop for enhanced nighttime convenience.
The transverse toilet is ample in width and features a built-in toilet, folding washbasin, separate shower, storage compartments, a warm air inlet, and radiator. The water system is equipped with a 200L fresh water tank and a 60L gray water tank to meet long-distance water needs.
The circuit configuration is a 48V 11.4kWh lithium-ion battery pack, paired with a 5000W inverter and a 640W rooftop solar panel, balancing
energy storage efficiency and charging speed to meet power needs in environments without recharging.
