The Lanzhongshan Haipao off-road RV will debut at the Chengdu RV Show on September 19, revolutionizing pickup truck RV space.

The all-new Great Wall Shan Hai Pao 4WD off-road RV has officially launched. Boasting the only N2-class 4.5-ton RV-specific chassis in China, robust four-wheel drive capability, and side-expansion design, it's a truly versatile 2-person long-distance travel vehicle, suitable for both off-road adventures and comfortable living. Built on the Great Wall Shan Hai Pao pickup truck platform, this off-road RV not only breaks through the traditional pickup truck RV's load-bearing limits but also redefines the standards of high-end off-road RVs with its rounded shape, low center of gravity, and rich features. The new Shan Hai Pao RV abandons the traditional angular design, adopting a rounded front end and compact dimensions of 5990×2410×3180mm, balancing off-road capability with interior space. The body uses a four-layer composite structure, coated with scratch-resistant and explosion-proof paint, adapting to complex off-road environments.

Developed on the Great Wall Shanhai Cannon pickup truck platform, this chassis is the only N2-class 4.5-ton RV-specific chassis in China. It features an optimized and widened rear track, with wheel arches flush with the wheels for excellent coordination. The low center of gravity design ensures driving stability, and the 2.5-ton towing capacity supports the expansion of a trailer RV, meeting the needs of extended travel.

In terms of power, it is equipped with a Great Wall 2.4T diesel engine, with a maximum power of 126kW and a peak torque of 480N·m, matched with a self-developed 9-speed automatic transmission, providing smooth and efficient power output. Off-road features include a BorgWarner intelligent four-wheel drive system, a rear axle electronic differential lock, and a low-speed four-wheel drive mode (torque amplification 2.64 times), combined with the Shanhai Cannon pickup's inherent strong off-road capabilities, easily handling mud, gravel, and other unpaved roads.

The interior features wood grain and gray trim, with a simple and practical style. The side extension design, when opened, provides an interior width of 2600mm, and the central aisle can be temporarily used as a bed, offering space exceeding that of similar pickup truck RVs. The living area is clearly laid out: a double bed is located above the driver's cab; the middle section is a four-person seating area with spacious seating, ensuring ample legroom for four people; the rear features a combination of a transverse toilet and a large wardrobe, with clearly defined functional zones.


The L-shaped kitchen countertop comes standard with a large square sink (deep and splash-proof), an integrated wall-mounted washing machine below, and a 136L RV-specific refrigerator on the right. The wall cabinets feature square doors with brushed aluminum edging, combining style and practicality; LED ambient lighting is embedded around the outward-opening window of the countertop, enhancing convenience for nighttime operation.


The transverse toilet has ample width and includes a toilet, a folding washbasin, a separate shower, storage boxes, and a warm air inlet and radiator. The water system is equipped with a 200L fresh water tank and a 60L grey water tank, meeting the needs of long-distance travel.




The circuit features a 48V 11.4 kWh lithium battery pack, paired with a 5000W inverter and a 640W rooftop solar panel, balancing energy storage efficiency and charging speed to meet power needs in environments without refueling.
