SAIC Maxus recently launched a significant facelift for its V80 series – the SAIC Maxus New Tour V80. Based on this latest V80 chassis, a campervan, the Maxus Traveler V80 Campervan, was also introduced. This new vehicle is positioned as a fully functional and stylish campervan, with "multi-scenario travel" as its core concept.

In terms of exterior design, it adopts a more youthful and fashionable design language, resulting in a more dynamic and streamlined overall shape. In particular, the short-wheelbase, ultra-low-roof model, with a roof height of only 2070mm, allows it to easily enter underground parking garages and other height-restricted areas with a 2.1m height limit, greatly improving the vehicle's flexibility and adaptability, making it suitable for both urban commuting and outdoor adventures.

The new V80's cab also prioritizes comfort and convenience. Cruise control and a multi-function steering wheel are standard across the entire range, allowing drivers to enjoy a relaxed driving experience even on long journeys. In terms of power, the new V80 is equipped with SAIC Maxus V80 2.0T engine, which delivers a maximum power of 93kW and a peak torque of 320N·m, providing strong power performance and excellent high-speed performance, with a top speed of 120km/h. It is paired with a 6-speed AMT transmission, offering smooth shifting and significantly improving driving comfort. Whether overtaking or climbing hills while unloaded, the new V80 performs admirably. Furthermore, the front-engine, front-wheel-drive layout makes steering more precise and transmission efficiency higher.

In terms of space, the interior height is 1.5m even in low-roof mode. This space design not only ensures ample headroom but also allows for more flexible and diverse placement of items, meeting the needs of different travel scenarios.

It is worth mentioning that the 2024 new V80 has also undergone significant improvements in chassis tuning. The chassis tuning solution provided by MIRA delivers precise handling and a comfortable ride. Meanwhile, the vehicle also employs multiple noise reduction and quieting technologies, resulting in an interior idling noise level of only 51 decibels, demonstrating excellent NVH performance and providing passengers with a more tranquil riding environment.

The kitchen area features an extendable panel; when opened, the L-shaped kitchen countertop significantly increases workspace and is equipped with an induction cooker, sink, and refrigerator to meet cooking and cleaning needs during the journey.

The rear transverse bed is made of high-quality materials, offering softness and comfort to ensure a high-quality sleep every night during the trip.

In terms of water and electricity configuration, it comes standard with a 300AH lead-acid battery, a 3000W inverter, an 80L fresh water tank, and a superheated water system, meeting basic travel needs. With an official guide price of 168,000 yuan, this Maxus V80 campervan is more suitable for couples traveling together.
